Decisionnatural was born as a response to the need for deep understanding of economic behavior evolution in Argentine households. In a context characterized by constant macroeconomic fluctuations, families require updated and contextualized information about spending patterns, savings strategies, and effective budget adjustments.
Our project collects, analyzes, and visualizes domestic financial data with the objective of providing an accurate snapshot of how individual economic decisions reflect and respond to national trends. This information not only serves as a reference for family planning but also as valuable input for researchers, economic analysts, and public policy makers.
We firmly believe in the power of transparent data to empower citizens in their financial decisions. By systematically documenting changes in consumption priorities, adaptation strategies against inflation, and purchasing power protection mechanisms, we contribute to greater collective awareness about economic challenges shared by millions of Argentine households.
The construction of the budget diary is based on a rigorous methodology for collecting and processing financial information. We work with data from multiple complementary sources, including voluntary declarations from participants, anonymized banking records provided by collaborating financial institutions, and official statistics published by government agencies such as INDEC.
Each budget record is categorized following international expense classification standards, adapted to the Argentine economic context. Main categories include: food and beverages, housing and services, transportation, health, education, clothing, communications, recreation and leisure, financial expenses, and other miscellaneous expenses. This structure allows consistent longitudinal comparisons and expenditure redistribution analysis between periods.
Data processing implements multiple quality controls to guarantee geographical, socioeconomic, and demographic representativeness of the sample. Outliers are identified and validated through cross-checks with macroeconomic indicators such as price indices, sectoral inflation rates, and purchasing power evolution. All personal data is treated in accordance with Personal Data Protection Law 25.326, ensuring complete anonymization before any analysis or publication.
Our budget diary updates follow a monthly frequency, with statistical closures that incorporate information from the complete previous month. Quarterly, we perform deeper comparative analyses that identify sustained trends and structural changes in domestic consumption patterns. This periodicity balances the need for updated information with the statistical stability necessary for robust conclusions.
The credibility of our project rests on fundamental pillars of transparency, methodological rigor, and regulatory compliance. We maintain complete documentation of our data sources, processing procedures, and analysis algorithms, available for review by academic researchers and oversight agencies.
In compliance with Law 25.326 on Personal Data Protection, we implement strict protocols for handling sensitive information. Voluntary participants in our study receive detailed information about data usage, exercise rights of access, rectification, and deletion at any time, and grant explicit and informed consent before any information incorporation into the system. Data is never shared with third parties for commercial purposes or used for individual profiling.
Our ethical commitment extends to results presentation. We avoid generalizations that could mislead, always contextualize figures within broader economic frameworks, and refrain from issuing personalized financial recommendations that exceed the scope of our aggregate statistical analysis.
